I recently did the Epic Gold Coast Hinterland experience with Panache cycling.  This was a challenging ride for a weekend warrior such as myself, but the effort was well worth it, with a balanced mix of challenge, quiet country roads, spectacular scenery, sumptuous food, and excellent organisation.  Plenty of Strava Kudos was earned over the three days of cycling, and we all enjoyed sharing tales of our exploits over a great meal matched with great wine as we recovered each night in our very comfortable  accommodation nestled half way up Mount Tambourine.  
 
I was a little apprehensive about the fitness required and the traffic on these country roads, but in the end neither of these things were an issue – sure, the riding was hard, but there was no pressure to try and keep up with the leaders.  Murray@panachecyling worked with all the riders along the way to make sure we were comfortable with our own pace and we all re-grouped at different points along the way.  The personal satisfaction when you reached each day’s destination more than compensated for the effort.  The traffic was not a factor, even though this was over a weekend in the middle of school holidays – each day’s route was carefully chosen so that cars were few and far between, and the ones we did come across were all very considerate.
 
So, all in all this is a great opportunity to challenge yourself in a well supported and well organised environment, with the comfort of a great meal and good night’s rest at the end of each day.  Congrats to murray@panachecyling for putting together such a great tour.

"Tour cycling at its absolute best. Great riding, great location and an even better host. Murray and the team at Panache Cycling were fantastic. Genuinely one of those "just turn up and ride" experiences ... though make sure you cram some hills into your training prep, because there's plenty of climbing to be done. But every climb brings its reward - an amazing view and epic descent, and stories to tell over dinner and wine back at the lodge. Highly recommended.

If you're thinking of riding anywhere different in south-east Queensland you couldn't do better than going with Murray from Panache Cycling. Very well organised and coordinated, these rides are pitched at those who ride regularly and don't mind hills, and enjoy a personal challenge but don't want to bust a gut doing it. They're a perfect ride for those who enjoy great scenery and the company of like-minded others, like to extend themselves throughout the day but want to kick back in the evening and have a few beers, a nice meal and a good bottle of wine. Murray is a great organiser, a great host and clearly loves what he is doing. I thoroughly recommend his 3 day tours and fully intend to return to pick up some Strava PBs on those beautfiul rides. EPIC! Murray is a fantastic host and the accommodation is great, especially if you want to take the family as well.  The rides are challenging and rewarding with some spectacular views along the way.  Not to mention the well-deserved coffee and food along the way, which was delicious.  All in all a fantastic experience!!

I had great expectations for my recent Panache cycling tour in the Gold Coast Hinterland, and it lived up to every one of them! The weekend was a perfect mix of a relaxing getaway on Mount Tamborine, with some challenging but extremely rewarding riding. Murray and the team are exceptional hosts, maintaining the relaxed vibe while being highly organised, making the ‘just turn up and ride’ claim absolutely true.

Navigation and support on the road was exceptional, and it was clear that safety of the entire group was always top priority. Overall, it was a fantastic weekend. Highly recommended! Can’t wait for the next one!
